Catholicism and dating
: A doctor with dimples in his cheeks and champagne in his hand lounging in a hot tub. Jen Perkovich, a 26-year-old nurse from Woodbury, Minnesota, flinched when she spotted Ryan Dick’s personal ad on Online dating is no longer confined to the desperate.
And 16 months later, she accepted his marriage proposal.
:)As a practicing Catholic in my midtwenties, I found this book rather shocking that it was written by a so-called Catholic "well-versed in her faith".
Amy resides in the Washington DC-area and is an accomplished communications specialist with the U. I liked that she shared from a loyal perspective to the Roman Catholic Church. I was surprised that she wasn't encouraging Catholic women who are called to the vocation of marriage to spend more time in developing holiness by reading Sacred Scripture, going to Confession on a regular basis, going to Adoration, etc.
I was thinking that God will help you find a man striving for holiness if you make that a priority yourself.
The author encourages her readers to be open minded and compromise,as if faith were secondary in choosing a mate.
She forgets that marriage is a path toward holiness and sanctity.
